Girl Child Support — Period Dignity
Menstrual hygiene kits, education, and safe spaces so no girl misses school because she cannot access pads.
Across East Africa and beyond, thousands of girls miss up to a week of school every month because they cannot afford sanitary pads. Shame and stigma follow — and many never return to the classroom.
Our Girl Child Support program delivers dignity kits (reusable and disposable pads, soap, underwear, and guidance materials), runs age-appropriate health education in schools, and trains local women as peer mentors.
We work with head teachers, parents, and faith leaders to normalize menstruation as a health topic — not a reason to exclude girls from learning. Keeping girls in school is one of the highest-return investments in a community's future.
What we deliver
- Monthly dignity kits for girls in need
- School-based menstrual health education
- Peer mentor networks in partner schools
- Emergency pad banks for crisis and rural zones
We help people so they can help others.
